Our Own Moor Walk
The Barns of Shannochill is set in 190 acres of its own land, in the Trossachs within the National Park. We have recently created a small loch, which is now a major feature of the landscape - often with duck, swans, geese or heron to be seen. On the moor, which extends beyond it, we have created a delightful walk, which our visitors can enjoy. This walk goes down across the field directly infront of the house, round our "wee loch", and then out onto the moor. The routes have been selected to follow the contours of the higher drier ground and the paths have been strimmed, for your ease of use. To bridge the lower areas where streams or puddling exists, wooden planks have been laid. We recommend that you wear your hiking boots. (for really wet weather, perhaps your wellies!) Both the moor walks and the "wee loch" are very scenic. They have been created for your enjoyment when you come to stay at Shannochill. |
